Jacked-up Straw & Iron Man's House

Today I had lunch with one of the great student's that I get to wok with.  We were sitting in the restaurant enjoying each others' company.  The waiter delivered our beverages.  He order a water.  I ordered a water and a lemonade.  Molly's, the restaurant we were at, has wonderful bendy straws.   I opened my straws and noticed something strange.  My straw was jacked up.  The straw-making machine did not do its job and did not trim the end properly.  While the straw didn't allow for drinking, it did create laughter.

Right now I am watching Iron Man on television.  I want his house.  I want it now.  I want to live in this amazing house perched on the edge of a cliff with endless windows that look out on the ocean and other beautiful things.   Curved walls, big fireplace, endless windows...just what I want.

Cee-Lo Green

A little less than a year ago I posted about the beauty of a good "f-bomb".  Sometimes it is needed and it is the only word that truly expresses how I feel about life.  Today, I was reviewing old messages and facebook things and ran across a link that made me happy last January and makes me happy today.

Things that sound dirty but aren't...

I will admit that there are many times that I have the brain of a 12-year old and I find it hilarious when people inadvertently say things that sound dirty but aren't.

I am sitting in Panera working and one of the employees said to the other - "you have to do it with short, fast strokes."

My brain immediately went "DIRTY" and I laughed in my seat.

Good night

Last night was a great night.  Me & my BFF have been beyond busy.  This means we haven't been able to see each other for long periods of time or for anything other than routine check-ins.  Last night we got to spend time with each other.  We laughed.  We drank.  We danced around.  We laughed.  Did I repeat that? Well, it is that important.

It was one of those really great nights.  We didn't do anything extraordinary.  There were no bells or whistles.  It was just two friends enjoying each other's company and basking in shared laughter, experience and love.

It was a night where I was reminded again how lucky I am to be loved and to have people I love in return.

Giraffe - stages of change

This video is both an accurate representation of the stages of change and makes me laugh....

I've been sharing it with everyone I know because I believe that many of the people dear to me (including myself) are locked in this cycle of emotion.

My least personal favorite stage but my FAVORITE stage in the video is depression. :)

Day of laughter

My ab muscles hurt from laughing so hard today.  So many hilarious things to laugh about...

Some of these things are unable to be shared on this blog but they are making me laugh out loud (literally) right now.

Here are the other things that have made me laugh today:

  • Cliches used in  ways they were not intended to be used.  Check out this cliche website
  • Ellen Degeneres gets a phone call from Gladys - best quote "I love Jesus but I drink a little"

  • Xtranormal video called "So you want to get a PhD in humanities".  It is hilarious because it is partially true in some ways.  LOL

There were any number of other things that made me laugh today.  I think I laughed non-stop all day.  It is incredible to work in an office that works very hard but has a great time while we do it.
